THE PROJECT

The Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin young volunteer’s project is for any young person aged 14 – 18 years from clubs, schools and local colleges.
Â
You are invited to assist with activities within a club environment and gain an insight into the role, structure and management of a voluntary aquatic sports club.
Â
Through this programme, opportunities will be created for young people to contribute to the club environment through experience and qualifications.
Â
THE AIM OF THE PROJECT
Â
The objective is to increase voluntary involvement within swimming clubs by young people and to increase the knowledge and expertise of young people who already help out in clubs.
Â
The young volunteers will be offered various development opportunities such as a Timekeeper course, Poolside Helper course, Young Aquatic Organiser award and Team Manager training course.
