On Saturday 27^th June, Wellington (Telford) Swimming squad attended the third and final round of the Nuneaton Junior Swimming League Gala at Rugby, swimming against arguably the strongest team in our league Lutterworth who won deservedly on the night with an astonishing point total of 271.

All our swimmers performed to the best of their ability in both individual and team events.

The Wellington squad secured 9 first, 19 second and 11 third places and scored a total of 212 points another excellent achievement to finish in 2nd place.

Congratulations to all involved with the Wellington (Telford) Swimming squad and let's not forget the fact that we have now made this years FINALS!!!

In my own personal opinion a special mention needs to be made about some of our younger swimmers, in particular:

Charlie Percox, Jon Mills, Sian McLeod and Lauren Tozer our young 9 year old stars, who all won individual and relay events with excellent swims and PBs

And Bethany Williams who stepped in at the last minute to help out our depleted 12 year old squad and swam in the Girls 12 Year Freestyle and recorded an excellent PB time of 36.28 in her first ever gala and also helped strengthen our relay team. Well Done.
