THE PROJECT
The Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin young volunteer’s project is for any young person aged 14 – 18 years from clubs, schools and local colleges.
You are invited to assist with activities within a club environment and gain an insight into the role, structure and management of a voluntary aquatic sports club.
Through this programme, opportunities will be created for young people to contribute to the club environment through experience and qualifications.
THE AIM OF THE PROJECT
The objective is to increase voluntary involvement within swimming clubs by young people and to increase the knowledge and expertise of young people who already help out in clubs.
The young volunteers will be offered various development opportunities such as a Timekeeper course, Poolside Helper course, Young Aquatic Organiser award and Team Manager training course.
